On behalf of the people of the state of Hawaii, I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii for your assistance following the discontinuation of air service by Aloha Airlines and ATA earlier this month.
Many Hawaii residents and visitors were negatively impacted by these unfortunate closures and I am grateful for your extraordinary efforts in providing the State with the necessary support to accommodate our affected passengers.
Please extend my appreciation to your entire team. I am incredibly proud of the people of our State who have embodied the true spirit of Aloha throughout this difficult time and I know by working together, we will overcome this challenge and ensure that our visitor industry continues to be successful for many future generations.”
